Cold Steel Roach Belly

The Roach Belly takes its name from a historical knife pattern known in 17th-century Britain and the American Colonies. Its short blade and pronounced upswept curve were thought to resemble the rounded belly of the common roach fish. Cold Steel's interpretation retains the traditional profile while using modern, hardwearing materials for practical outdoor and utility use. The hollow-ground blade is made from German 4116 stainless steel, heat-treated to Rc 56–57 and finished with a fine edge that is straightforward to maintain. In place of a traditional wood handle, the tough polypropylene handle resists the elements and will not swell, shrink, rot or crack like wood. The Roach Belly includes a deep-pouch black Secure-Ex sheath with a generously sized belt loop and provision for neck carry.
