The Cold Steel UK website is owned and operated by PJS (UK) Ltd trading as BA Blades.

BA Blades has been in operation since Janurary 2003 (originally known as Peter Schofield Trading As Medieval Weaponry) Our mission statement is simple; to supply high quality replica weaponry at competitive prices to the UK market, with a focus on exemplary customer service.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

Although due to the nature of the products we sell, we ask you to provide proof of your age before we can process your order. This can be done sending us a copy of your passport or driving licence. We will then store your proof so you will not have to resubmit it for future orders.

We accept all major credit/debit cards, Cash, Cheque, Postal Orders and Bank Transfers. Paying with your credit/debit card online is the easiest way to pay. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your credit/debit card information via phone, fax or by post. If you want to pay using an alternative method, please place your order and we will contact you via email with further instructions.

If you are shopping from Europe, North America or anywhere else, we can give you an estimation of the cost in your local currency. Although your bank is responsible for the exchange rate on the day your order is processed.

We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If an item is out of stock, we will email you within 2 working days with a delivery schedule and you will be given the choice whether to place the item on back order, swap it for another item, or cancel your order.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we supply you with a delivery schedule. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Delivery Schedule

If the item(s) you order are in stock, then your order will be processed on the day you place your order or the next working day (depending on what time you place your order and our workload). For UK orders delivery will take either one or two working days ("Priority" service is a next day service and "Standard" is a two day service from when the order is processed). International orders vary depending on the destination country.

We will be in touch with the delivery date and tracking information on the day your order is processed. If you supply us with a moblie phone number then we will also send you a text (UK customers only).

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20.0% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.

Credit Card Security

All card payments are processed by our Payment Gateway which is PayPoint.net. PayPoint.net are PCI DSS Level 1 Compliant - the highest possible security standard.

Guarantee

Cold Steel products come with a 5 Year Guarantee for Fixed-Blade products and a 1 Year Guarantee for Folded-Blade Products.

Privacy Policy

PJS (UK) Ltd value your privacy and use your personal details where necessary to fulfil your order. We handle your personal details securely and only as much as is required to fulfil our contract to process your order and have it delivered to you or collected by you.

Your personal details are also processed by third parties where necessary in order to fulfil your order. The couriers we use (Royal Mail, Parcel Force) receive your personal details so that they can deliver the order to you and inform you about updates regarding the delivery of your order. Before we process you order, we also verify your age if we haven't already using either 192.com or ID3Global. All of the third parties only use your details for the stated purpose and do not disclose any personal details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this site where they are necessary for the site functionality. They are used to aid navigation and to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart. If you log in to an account, your logged-in status is recorded in a temporary cookie. If you select the 'Remember Me' Option in the checkout, a cookie will be used to remember your details.

We also make use of Google Analytics in order to better understand our customers and optimise our site for a better customer experience. Google Analytics sets cookies in order to function. We choose to use Google Analytics in a mode which does not store any personal details of website visitors - your IP address is anonymised.

You can turn off cookies by blocking them in your browser Privacy settings. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use them.

Data collected by this site is used to:

Returns Policy

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
