Each model is carefully moulded to provide a realistic look and feel for solo practice, training drills, demonstrations and other controlled training activities where a close approximation of the original design is useful. The Santoprene rubber blade is flexible enough to reduce the likelihood of most injuries during appropriate use, while retaining sufficient firmness for effective training. Contact with the face or eyes may still cause injury, so suitable safety eyewear or a fencing mask should be worn at all times when using a Cold Steel® rubber training knife.
