Cold Steel Bokken

Cold Steel Japanese Training Swords are designed for martial arts training and conditioning practice. The Cold Steel Bokken is moulded from high-impact polypropylene and features an intricately detailed imitation cord-wrap grip for comfort and control, including when wearing heavy gloves. Traditional bokken were commonly made from Japanese White Oak, known as Kashi, to replicate the size, weight and feel of a steel sword for practice. Authentic Kashi wood bokken are still used today, but can be costly and, as wooden items, may be susceptible to rot, cracking, splitting or splintering. Cold Steel’s synthetic alternative is designed to be affordable, weather-resistant and durable. Made from heavy-grade polypropylene, the Cold Steel Training Bokken closely duplicates a Katana or Bokken in length, size, weight and feel. While not quite as rigid as wood, it is highly durable, remarkably stiff and cut resistant, offering heavy-duty training potential for the modern martial artist.
