The mail order sale of knives and other edged tools is legal. However there is a minimum age restriction of 18 years for ownership/purchase of edged tools, as defined in the Offensive Weapons Act 1996 (as follows);

• any knife, knife blade or razor blade,
• any axe,
• any other article which has a blade or which is sharply pointed and which is made or adapted for use for causing injury to the person.

When you place your order we follow the following procedure;

"Age Restricted methods" are methods of payment which you need to be 18 or older for you to use. For example, you need to be 18 to own a Master Card, so if you use a Master Card, we know you are at least 18 and therefore we do not need to perform further checks.
