Benchstones
Bench stones are used to sharpen the edges of a variety of metal bladed tools/implements:
- Knives
- Kitchen/Cutlery Knives
- Hunting Knives
- Fishing Knives
- Pocket Knives
- Tools
- Chisels
- Planes
The stones come in different grades which refer to the grit size of the particles on the stone. A finer grit leads to a finer finish on the blade but takes much longer to apply since less material is removed with each pass
